PALINA GREENBELT ECOPARK

Talk about a place to unwind considered of international standard? In Sitio Cablatan, Brgy. Cagay, Roxas City Palina Greenbelt Ecopark is a silent refuge for those who want to seek the silent refuge a river can offer and feast on the seafoods locally-sourced around the place. In 2018, it was awarded the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award and was the grand winner on Community-based Responsible Tourism Enterprise.

The experience is all about the Palina river cruise where visitors can ride a floating cabana where their food are prepared while cruising the water and enjoying the view and the mist of fresh air circulating around. The river is surrounded by lush mangroves around the river coast.

One can be entertained by local musicians while having their lunch of oysters, shrimps, grilled fish, shells and crabs among others.

The Palina River Development Association whose members manages the place has prepared a lot of educational and recreational activities for those who would want to extend a little of their

time on the river.

One can experience learning about oyster and mussel culture or understand how mangroves are important in the natural habitat of mud crabs. Some may go leisure fishing and on-board the floating cabanas, others may opt for a foot and full-body massage.

Visitors may opt to ride a tricycle from Roxas City proper to Brgy. Cagay and start their river tour.
