The Iloilo Provincial Capitol Grounds along Muelle Loney St, Iloilo City is home to several heritage landmarks. It houses the Regional Museum, Museo de Iloilo, Casa Real de Iloilo and the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

Among the structures, the Casa Real de Iloilo are considered the most prominent as it tells a lot about what Iloilo is today. Completed in 1896, the building was originally a one-story stone structure. In 1873, Governor Enrique  Fajardo completed the second floor with first class hard wood.  He was the first governor to establish an official residence that was hailed as  a magnificent Casa Real in Madrid, Spain. On April 11, 1901, the US-Philippine Commission headed by William Howard Taft inaugurated the civil government of Iloilo and inducted General Martin Delgado as the first provincial governor at the Casa Real. In 1907, Governor Benito Lopez was assassinated inside the building. The structure was renovated in 2010 after it was heavily damaged during the World War II. A fire almost destroyed it in 1998. A new 6-story Capitol Building was completed in 2006  adjacent Casa Real de Iloilo. In April 11, 2010, the National Historical Institute recognized Casa Real de Iloilo as a historical landmark.

In 1927, its flagpole across the building  gave way to the construction of Arroyo Fountain in honor of Senator Jose Arroyo. The fountain serves as kilometer zero of Panay.
