Located at the heart of Bacolod City and just across the San Sebastian Cathedral, the Bacolod City Plaza is a trapezoidal park that sits on a 2-hectare property. It is surrounded by trees with a gazebo placed at the center.
Officially, the plaza is named Plaza Del 6 de Noviembre in recognition of the surrender of the Spaniards in Negros Island to the Negros revolutionaries in November 6, 1898.
Today, the plaza has been a perfect place for recreation, political, cultural and spiritual activities. It is one good place to rest the feet after a long day of travelling and touring around Negros and Bacolod City as the sea breeze rotates around the leaves of the trees providing shades on the benches underneath.
