A retirement project of couple Jet and Checc Orbida, Peacepond is not just a farm and a destination but a sustainable movement of empowering a community to earn a living and help each other survive through the spirit of voluntarism.
Located in Brgy, Enclaro, Binalbagan, Peacepond is a 5-hectare seaside farm that practices organic farming, regenerative agriculture and solid waste management. The farm integrates zero carbon foot print in their operations. The labor may be manual but with a touch of artistry and creativity, they were able to develop technologies that made work easier.
Their partnership with Coca Cola Foundation started the Blastik program where a full circle plastic waste collection and recycling is initiated in order to produce a whole new set of products that include plastic tiles, vases, holders, chairs, tables and other recycled plastic products.
The advocacy of the Orbidas eventually gained traction around Western Visayas and they started to open their farm to visitors who would like to understand their systems, buy their organic products or simply try the food they prepare sourced from around the corners of the farm.
