ANINGALAN, SAN REMIGIO

With an elevation of 3,188 feet above sea level, Aningalan in San Remegio is Antique’s little Baguio. The terrain, the road going up and the cold weather compound to the feeling and the reality that Aningalan has something special to offer to her visitors.

Some 39.2 kilometers away from San Jose de Buenavista, the capital town of Antique, the elevated ride to Aningalan is worthy of any worries as visitors are treated with different restaurants serving local food just along the national road. Though the cellular signal is bit problematic, the whole experience is awesome and worthy of your time.

Fresh high value vegetables are sold at a very low price along the road and the place is home to Aningalan Highland Strawberry Garden, Bato Igbugtong and Icbaclag Cave.

The strawberry garden is a private mountain resort with a 3-room bed and breakfast facility, a restaurant, a strawberry farm and offers a picture-perfect view of the green scenery around. Bato Igbugtong is a prominent rocky mound at the summit of the mountain where one can see the rolling hills of Aningalan. The Igbaclag Cave is a big monolith with lots of caverns for experienced climbers who wanted to see more of Aningalan from the top.
