Sitio Nagpana, Brgy. Lipata in Barotac Viejo is approximately 12 kilometers away from the población. It is home to the indigenous group called Aetas who have inhabited the place since the 1950s.
Nagpana as it is popularly known is around 980 hectares of land, 200 hectares of which is reserved for its water shed and 40 hectares intended for housing. Its mountain ranges cover the enchanting Nagpana Waterfalls. People used to walk a long trail of forest cover before reaching the falls but with the development of the road today and the construction of a multipurpose building beside the falls, accessibility has ceased to be an issue.
The mountain ranges are very rich of nito vines and native coffee. The natives weave the nito into bags, baskets, hats, coin purses, leis, placemats, rings and bracelets and sell them to visitors visiting the area.
Today, with the help of the local government, a coffee production center has been set up and the Aetas are now selling fine coffee granules packed in a sealed and heated container and even serves hot brewed coffee to guests as part of the livelihood program initiated for them.
